This database reports estimated employment and average and median wages for about 1,000 occupations in states and Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs).  Wages are reported in current dollars and are available based on ownership type, i.e., public, private, or all employers and are available for the U.S., states, and many metropolitan areas.  

 

Note that in some cases occupational wages are reported by industry.  Also, mapping is available only for states.
