| Additional Background | This database contains the number and ethnicity of students at public colleges and universities in Texas. Years reflect Fiscal Years, i.e., 2014 reflects enrollment for the 2013-2014 fiscal and academic years. Data reflect all students, not full-time equivalent students. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) laws prevent the release of gender and ethnicity for ethnic groups in some years. The number of International female and male and Hawaiian female and male students is availalbe only after 2011; however, totals are available for International students for all years, and totals are available for Hawaiian since 2010.
