This database reports Total National Health Expenditures, Health Consumption Expenditures, and Personal Health Care Expenditures by type of service or product and major source of funding. Figures are in millions of current dollars.  Expenditures in this database may not equal those in Health Care Expenditures in U.S. States because the former is updated annually, while state-level data are updated every five years.

  • Other Federal Programs include OEO, Federal General and Medical, Federal General and Medical NEC, and High Risk Pools under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
  • Other State and Local Programs include State and Local Subsidies and Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI).
