This database presents employment and wages for health professionals based on the Occupational Employment Statistics program, a survey operated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  The survey does not include people in farm industries, those who are self-employed, owners and partners in unincorporated firms, household workers, or unpaid workers.

  • Estimated total employment is rounded to the nearest 10 and excludes self-employment
  • Percent relative standard error is a measure of the reliability of a statistic; the smaller the relative standard error, the more precise the estimate
  • The location quotient represents the ratio of an occupation’s share of employment in a given area to that occupation’s share of employment in the U.S. as a whole.

Note: The 2016 update from BLS contains a number of NA values.  We anticipate an update from BLS in the next two months.
