This database reports the amount of installed wind power capacity, in Megawatts (MW), and it reports MW per capita from 1999-present based on July 1st population in each year.  Capacity reflects that reported on Dec. 31st. There is no reported capacity in Alabama, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia.  Data from 1999-2009 reflect the most recent Global Energy Concepts (GEC) data table of installed capacity projects.  2010 - 2012 data are from the Wind Technologies Market report from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). 2010 values have been adjusted to confirm with 2009 estimates.  2013 data are from the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) 2013 Fourth Quarter Market Report.
