State Expenditures & Revenues

Contains expenditures, revenues, debt, and assets for all states as authorized under Title 13, United States Code, Section 182.  The database reports detail of revenue by type, expenditure by object and function, as well as debt and assets.  See here for additional background on methodology and terminology. 

Note: Total Expenditure by Function/Activity does not equal the sum of function or activity sub-categories in 2012-present (i.e., the sum of Education, Public welfare, Hospitals, Health, Highways, Police protection, Correction, Natural resources, Parks and recreation, Governmental administration, Interest on general debt, and Other and unallocable) due to slight changes in terminology.
