| Additional Background | This database provides the number of admissions for drug treatment by substance for all public rehabilitation programs. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations prevent the release of the number of individuals admitted to substance abuse treatment if that number is less than 10 at the county level. An asterisk (*) indicates suppressed data. Data for the seven counties surrounding Dallas are limited due to the pilot NorthSTAR project.
